Equinophobia ? Help for Equinophobia
TweetWhat is Equinophobia ?
Equinophobia- Fear of horses.
Common Symptoms of Equinophobia
- beliefs concerning the horse itself and the harm it is able to cause the person, either through some form of attack or through other means such as disease or contamination.
- beliefs about the consequences for the person as a result of the encounter, that is that he will lose physical and / or mental control and become helpless, have a panic attack or faint. The person believes that these responses will be extremely awful for him and this can heighten his anxiety and physiological responses which then feed each other. From the phobic point of view, any of these outcomes would make it easier for an animal to attack so it can be easily seen that these beliefs maintain each other.
- beliefs that, if confronted with the animal, the person will be trapped and not be able to find a means of escape, either in the actual physical sense or because of his helplessness and inability to cope or to function. It appears that the greater the degree of disbelief concerning one's ability to cope, the higher the likelihood of phobic avoidance.
