Suffering from Amychophobia?
TweetWhat is Amychophobia? - Fear of scratches or being scratched
Amychophobia or the fear of being scratched or scratches is the strange kind of phobia in which the sufferer cannot bear looking at being scratched whether its on his or her body or on someone else's body. The mere sight of someone else being scratched gives stomach butterflies, breathlessness, heavy breathing, sweating, etc to the sufferer.
The reason of Amychophobia is quite unknown but some researchers attribute the reason to some past incident or accident related to scratching.
The cure lies entirely in gaining confidence of the patient and slowly reassuring him or her.
