Suffering from Ambulophobia?
TweetWhat is Ambulophobia? - Fear of walking
Ambulophobia is the phobia in which people fear from walking on their legs. This problem is common in people who had been through a leg injury recently and are recovering from a fracture or severe paralysis which has made them motionless for some time.
Ambulophobia is the after effect of severe leg injury seen almost in all such patients. The symptoms include breathelessness, heavy breathing, sweating, stomach butterflies, etc, when asked or required to walk.
The cure lies in gaining confidence and reassuring the patient about his or her well being. The physiotherapy also plays an important role in such patients with Ambulophobia.
