Agyrophobia or the fear of streets or crossing the street, is common phobia and is prevailent in all parts of the world in all age groups. The busy roads, the noise, the risk to life are all key points in the fear of people from crossing streets. Agyrophobia sufferers think that they might be crushed or hit to death by some vehicle while they are on road or street. This fear somtimes take extreme state and the person starts getting afraid by just mentioning of street names.
The common symptoms of Agyrophobia is anxiety, nervousness, shortness of breathing, heavy breathing, sweating, etc. This fear is attributed to some incident which had been fatal. It sometimes occur in people without any kind of trauma and it is just the fear factor of the brain getting proactive in certain situation such as crossing roads.
