Hyperfocus (Hyper focusing)
TweetHyperfocus is a useful process
The process of hyperfocus is one of the most important things for people with ADHD to consider. This is a process that will work to allow a person to have an easier time with getting one to focus on something. It works in that a person will focus narrowly on one item instead of trying to focus on one specific thing. This is done as a means of making it so it will be easier to concentrate on a particular thing rather than to have one’s mind run around with different things.
It blocks out all distractions
A person with ADHD will have a difficult time with a number of different distractions. However, the use of hyperfocus can work to make it to where a person will be able to increase one’s concentration. This is done by working to remove all sounds and thoughts from one’s mind and to concentrate instead on only one object or idea. This is used in that by removing all of the obstacles that one is dealing with through ADHD it will be easier to get a better idea of what one needs to do in order to concentrate.
It allows a person to be more creative
Focusing on one task at hand through hyperfocus techniques will work to make it easier for a person to focus on one thing and one thing alone. This may make it easier for a person to do many things over time.
Does it work in school?
Hyperfocus can work in a school setting in that it will allow a student to focus on one thing at a time. However, hyperfocus can also be disruptive because it can keep the student from paying attention to what one’s teacher is saying. This may prove to be too difficult for anyone to handle and in many cases can result in disciplinary action.
Sometimes crying or laughing
are the only options left,
and laughing feels better right now.
