Concerta and ADD/ADHD
TweetConcerta handles ADHD among other things
Concerta is a commonly used drug for people who have ADHD. It is used as something that will help to relieve the symptoms of ADHD. These include such symptoms as a person’s inability to focus or an inability to stay physically calm. This is something that is used by children and adults alike for their conditions.
It is also something that can work for a variety of other concerns. A person can use Concerta to treat narcolepsy and in many cases the production of certain chemicals in the brain. The things that this medication can do are very valuable for anyone to take a look at.
Using Concerta is easy to handle
The process of using Concerta is not too complex. This is something that can work as an immediate or extended release drug or even in a liquid solution. This is something that can be taken by mouth. The dosage that is going to be used will vary by each person. A doctor who prescribes Concerta to a person should be telling that person about the specifics with regards to the prescription dosage.
It is generally best to take the medication with water. Doing so without the use of water will cause a person to be susceptible to choking due to the size of a pill.
There are some risks to see with Concerta in ADHD
Concerta, like other drugs that are used to handle ADHD, does have some side effects. A person can develop nervousness, dizziness, difficulty with sleeping or trying to actually get to sleep, a loss of appetite and headaches. These symptoms are generally mild and should be reported if they ever get serious or do not go away. Also, some severe side effects can occur in people who have heart defects. It is best to avoid dealing with this medication if one is dealing with a heart defect because of this risk.
