A real story of Asperger Syndrome Patient
This story or case as the people from medicine call it, was that of a man who seldom cared to pay attention to his wife. Lot many times, she was away from home, for a period of weeks, sometimes months for her woek, travelling to far places. When she returned, he never bothered to look up, greet her, hug, her, kiss her. Instead he just concentrated on his work - a computer geek.
He was a brilliant expert in the field of computers and he was was responsible for some major advances/improvements in that industry. However, he was lacking on the very basic need of life, i.e. showing love and care. He never was able to understand his wife's behaviour. Why his wife was complaining about his apparent indifference and even hostility toward her is something which is far off his sensibilities. He was always in the grip of confusion because he had no clue that his wife just needed some hugs and kisses all by himself.
After few years of such life, their marriage ended in divorce. This story looks somwehere close to each one of our hearts. This man was someone who was suffering from Asperger's Syndrome. Do we have something to learn from this?
Sometimes crying or laughing
are the only options left,
and laughing feels better right now.
