How to draw out a shy person
TweetShyness means a feeling of discomfort when a person comes into a situation where he is confronted with a social situation in which he or she has to interact with other people. A person who is actually very shy at front of other people. But sometime shy person does not like to feel the discomfort actually they are associates with the object or person encounters so they will probably avoid also. Shyness does not always remain a person quality of shy people forever.
You can find shy person in your office especially managers, who deal with all types of characters. Each person is different and reasons for shy person is totally different.
Why Shyness creates troubles?
Shyness can present problems not just for the shyness sufferer. Shy people can be hard to deal with. The more you 'push' the more they go into their shell. Shy people often have so much to offer maybe because they are so sensitive and thoughtful. Underneath they may be very funny or kind and considerate.
Steps to reduce Shy nature
Nothing set can draw shyness out of the shy person and this is displayed by each person in varying degrees. One suggestion is that the shy person be placed in a social situation where he can interact freely with another person or other people. It might help if the shy person is accompanied by someone he trusts, so that conversation does not falter when the shy person gets a 'shyness attack.'
It may also help if a mental health care professional were to talk to the shy individual to find out just what causes his shyness. For example, a teenage boy might be shy around girls because he is afraid he might be rejected. He might actually want to meet girls but his fear gets in the way. In such a case, he might find it helpful to go on a “friendly date”, where his date is not the object of his affection but just a casual acquaintance.
How to leave your shyness?
- To reduce shyness rmember to take notes before leaving home. Good conversationalists never leave home without something to say to the people they think they'll be seeing that day. If they're going to a party, they brush up on topics of interest to the people they know will be attending.
- Some people recommend that you never tell people you're shy, because people will use that information to label you.
- The only thing we can control in our life is our self---and even that can be a stretch sometimes. We can't control other people and we certainly can't control how other people react to us and the things we do.
- Pick one social skill to practice at a time. You don't need to become a social butterfly overnight--and it's unlikely you could if you tried. What you can do is build a strong foundation of social skills one skill at a time.
Sometimes crying or laughing
are the only options left,
and laughing feels better right now.
